AB 783 (Ting) Single-User Restrooms

SB 748 Disability Access and Information

This bill requires a city, county, or city and county, in a separate document formatted as specified, to provide to that applicant a statement that the business may be subject to liability for failure to meet the legal obligation to comply with state and federal disability access laws, and information on how to obtain a CASp inspection, as specified.

AB 2164 (Lee) Disability Access: CASp Funding

This bill requires a city or county issuing a business license to collect a $4.00 CASp fee for funding of certification and awareness for accessibility requirements and resources. This law removed the sunset provision and the collected amount to become permanent.

SB 205 (Hertzberg) Business License: Stormwater Discharge Compliance

Under Business and Professions Code section 16000.3, you are required demonstrate enrollment with stormwater discharge permits when applying for, or renewing, a business license with a city or county.

Are you a business that is a regulated industry with stormwater discharge requirements in accordance with the SB 205 NPDES Permit Program? If so, please provide the SIC Number and Permit Number.

AB 2184 (Chiu) Business License Personal Information

Under Business and Professions Code section 16000.1, you can mask your current business license address with a certified service of process address. All the following are acceptable forms of identification CA DL, CA ID#, ITIN, SSN, FEIN, or municipal ID. Personal information collected for the purpose of a business license shall be confidential and not available to the public or disclosed without a warrant, subpoena, or court order.

The following information shall be requested on applications and renewals:

Per AB 2184, you may protect your residential address by providing a different Service of Process address in accordance with Sections 16000.1(a)(2) and 16100.1(a)(2) of the Business and Professions Code. To do so, please Apply in person - you may not apply online.
